The easiest contest in the world.
Seems like everyone’s doing it. Contests. Darren’s had one. Jer… sorry, Jack of all blogs has one. Scrivs has one. Performancing’s just had one.
But you know what? You had to actually *do* something to enter all of those. Like think. Sod that, I say. So here’s another take on contests.
Introducing the blogging.wurk.net Comment Shoot-off (for want of a better name)
The prize: I’ll clear out $100 worth of stuff out of your Amazon wishlist. Or, I’ll just fire off $100 to your PayPal account if you’d prefer.
How to enter: Nothing complicated… just get commenting – something you already do, so it’s going to be an easy $100 for someone. The winner will be the person who leaves the 1,000th comment here on blogging.wurk.net. But I’m not going to tell you what number I’m up to now – so if you want to know, you’ll need to go through and count ‘em. ;o)
Rules: Obviously, no spamming. Comments must be reasonably useful, and must add something to the post you’re commenting on. But I’ll be the judge of that. And that’s about it.
Get tapping, kids.

Your right Barry, everyone does seem to be doing some type of contest right now and I think the key to all of this is that they work. I have never heard of anyone running a contest say that they were having a hard time giving something away.
I would be interested to know how long it takes you to get to your 1000th comment and how long it took for you to get the comment before this one from the beginning.
